Skateboard Deck Sizing Guide

What size wheels are best for me?

Wheels vary in color, size and durability. The way a wheel rides depends on the diameter and durometer, which all comes down to personal preference. When it comes to diameter-Smaller wheels are slower, bigger wheels are faster.

Here are the different sizes and what type of riding they are best for…

52-55mm – Slower, but stable and good for tricks and smaller riders
56-60mm – Beginners of all sizes on ramp, park and street
60mm+ – Longboards, old-school boards, speed and rougher surfaces

Durometer is a measurement related to the hardness of the wheel. Softer wheels are slower with more grip and harder wheels are faster with less grip. The standard durometer is 99A.
