What skating did you do today? and how was it?

i did some good skating today. me and my friends went to this hill that is so turny and nice, excellent for sliding but its someones driveway so theres barely ever a car becuase they are like rich and never home, and they like it when we skate there!

oh and i almost forgot, i fell today doing toe sides, and i did one but not fully and for some reasont he board like got away from me and i flew backwards and landed right on my elbows and it hurt kinda bad, but i got right back up and did it again becuase thats how you become better. learning from your mistakes.

Skated a new spot today with some freinds in the rain. Started the day out by making some rain wheels

 and then headed to the spot. A few corners and new pavement poured less than a week ago. Then once it got dark we went to a old favorite night time spot thats lit. Drifting in the rain is way different than dry, Im going to try to make a video soon.

I rain skated today with 2 friends from eastern washington, they are in town for a race this sunday and so they are crashing at my place. We got mega wet from skating in the pouring rain all day. My shoes will not dry off :/

did some bus runs today. super sick. take the bus to the top, skate down and take the bus back up to the top, then repeat until dead tired. It was fun skating with some peeps I don't get to skate with often, including the new member of this site liamkay!

I finished my topmount board today. I didn't get it as purrtty as I wanted it with all the paint and sanding, but I'm gonna be the one thrashing it so i dgaf. I'll upload a pic or 2 soon. Then I dialed in another bushing setup. Blood Orange 89a with a Sabre 86a cone on flat washers and indys. Waddupp

Sounds legit. I really like indys in the 140-160mm range. the 215s just are not my thing though. I know they are actaully a 186mm hanger but I just don't like em.

yea I know what you mean, I'm switching to gunmetal v2s. Plus I figured out a replacement for Vicious tape. I boardered my entire topmount along the edges with belt sander 50 grit. 36 is just too destructive. I'm really liking this method. It's cheap and it works kind of better. Oh and something I realized about making boards. When I cut my boards, 9.5 wide after it's cut seems like 10 inches. So for future reference people take it into note. 

Yeah next time I regrip a board I am going to use some aluminum oxide 36 grit. It works really well. Plus vicious wears out really quick.

couldnt skate for the last couple days becuase theres snow on the ground.....

did some nasty skating today, used the original free ride 38 with rocker for the first time, and i had to break in some 80a raceforms, but they slide soooo nice, and my slides were just buttery and nice, wicked good day today

jarrid you fell like four times today hahaha would not describe that as buttery, and i did some pushup slides today

ima go pull my ramp out and hit it and possibly learn 180s off it

so i definitely wasnt even close to landing 180s off my ramp and my legs hurt and i ended up just getting mad and throwing my board against the ground a lot and jumping on it. good thing the nemisis is strong for rage quitting

Yesterday i skated seattle u. pretty sick hills along the campus.

oh and I did a run of a mellow freeride spot.

ya because of the lean the lean makes them feel super soft but really they don't turn much

^actually lower degree trucks turn just as much its just you have to lean further on your deck to turn and sense your skateboard have to be wide you are limited by things like wheelbite, rail bite and so forth.

 

I skated on friday with some buddies and Skatedivona at his local spot called chambers bay. there are a bunch of bike path hairpins there, look for a video soon.

i went skating yesterday and i never knew the magic of gas pedals. they are the best things in the world. i tried toe sides on my beast for the first time and the gas pedal kepy my foot in place so nicely and just made the whole toeside beautiful. i could do toesides on the tan tien just fine but on the beast they ae literally magic. cant wait to go out skating again!

Today I freerided for the first time in a really long time. Standies are super easy and not very fun but they keep me foucused and thats epicwinning.

went out yesterday and it was great, had a half day at school so i had so much time to do stuff, so nice, toesides and standys, and i learned no complys! there great and fun lol, but i still need a bit more practice! slide shuvs are next!

slide shuvs are epic have fun learning them! dont get frustrated when you land a few and then cant land them for the next 20 tries. it just takes a rhythm and then eventually you get them every try its nice

Today was shred. I skated alot and worked on faster standup checks into corners. Then at one of my favorite spots this emo thief druggie guy was a total ass and tried picking a fight with me and then told me he was going to call the cops, some people are just asses. But it was really fun and knowing that I am smarter than that 24 yearold failure is epic.

I'm sessioning out a small hill today. 30mph around blind turns. It's a bit sketchy, but just gotta stay in that lane. I'm trying to see how much I can grip a corner with some roundlip wheels. It feels a bit twitchy. Also, working on that tuck and keeping super tight lines. hope everyone's skating is going well.

it's raining :( where have all the guys in washington gone?

Forums have gone a little scarce.  Where are all you peeps.  Skated over Golden Gate Bridge last week, was legit.  Weather has been so nice here.

oh sweet. A friend of mine skated in that race. If I'm thinking of it correctly, the Golden Gate Push Race? How did u like the downhill part?

went skating the other day, so much fun. we call the hill "assburgers" becuase one of the people living at the top has it. but the hill is the steepest thing ive ever seen and it improved me as well. i slid faster then i ever had and i learned to balence myself at the speeds. great hill. cant wait to skate it again

Found a nice little run behind my church, so I skated it three or four times. All downhill, a small neighborhood (so not much traffic) and decent pavement. Got to practice my ts pu and Coleman slides at some higher speeds.

I finally did a hippie jump on my longboard todayy:3 but then it started raining. for the third day in a row :/

did so freeriding today.  got a personal best heelside powerslide of ~33 feet.

I did my first TS 180s today. Kinda sad that I still can't do HS 180s.

not sad.  toesides are harder than heelside.

Cruised around on my AMWood 1/2 dance....super fun for a little cross step action.

skated the bigest hill in my area today and left a ton of thane with my pink powerballs!

Cruised around the neighborhood today and then did some ajustments on my wife's board and took it out and looked like an idiot when I got wheel bite.
