Back To School!

dylanshepard

For many kids, teens, and young adults, the time has come to head back to school.  Social offers some great completes that can get you zipping across campus in no time.  If you're into all of the plastic banana board craze, Social offeres a large variety from brands like Penny, Stereo, and Dusters.  If an old school shape is more your style, Z-Flex has some great vintage completes that are also pretty cost effective.  You wanna skate the boardwalk after class? No problem, look for a flexy board that comes with very turny trucks such as Gullwing Sidewinders.  There is also gear for more adamant skaters that want to use gear for many disciplines.  Wheel-wise, Micro Motions by Metro Wheel Company come in a small size and have a velvety smooth slide.  Whatever your skate or board sport related need, Social probably has what you're looking for!

Don't be late to class!

Smaller Wheels

dylanshepard

Hello All,

I am Dylan, and I am a new ambassador for Social!  I skate when I can, and organize events for my community.  Here's my first blog post!

I feel that smaller Wheels are often overlooked because of their size, and I chose to peruse this seemingly untapped area in search of some fun rides.  What sparked my interest in little Wheels were the many AZ locals freeriding 65mm s9 topshelfs about a year ago.  Back in the fall, I decided to check out a company fro Australia that I hadn't heard of called Vault, ended up purchasing some 62mm 83a Fibreflexes from them, and they are now my go-to have fun Wheels.  Since then I have been reviewing Wheels in the range of 62-66mm and recently opened it up to 60-66mm, many of which are bought here at Social.  So if you ever need advice on Wheels or ideas on cool stuff to try, let me know.  Things I would recommend right off the bat are Bennet Alligators, 66mm These, Sector 9 Biothanes, and Micro Motions.
